About the Opportunity


plus más media is looking for a highly organized and creative creator to support the development and testing of new social media amplifier accounts that connect with Gen Z and Millennial Latinos in the U.S.


This project is perfect for someone with experience in content creation, video editing, and social media who is excited to be part of a growing team shaping the future of Latino digital media. The ideal candidate is both a creative thinker and a reliable doer—someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can help bring concepts to life from planning through execution. You’ll  be researching content, creating content, editing, and uploading to social media, ensuring amplifier accounts are ready to be tested and evaluated for long-term success.


Here’s what you could expect to do as Amplifier Contractor, Content Creator (key responsibilities):

Content Strategy & Cultural Awareness

  • Actively follows and engages with Latino pop culture, internet memes, TikTok trends, and political discourse. Has a wide range of interest in cultural topics, e.g. music, movies, gaming, sports, beauty, food, inspirational quotes, and/or quirky facts, 

  • Very informed on political issues in the United States. As we would like to create political accounts through different formats and for different audiences.

  • Understands narrative POVs  how to use tone, humor, and visual storytelling to make a political or cultural point in all video posts.

  • Comfortable creating “amplifier” voices that sound organic, not corporate or advocacy-heavy.

  • Obsessed with testing new formats (carousel, short clips, skits, reaction cuts, subtitled news bites, etc.).

  • Comfortable analyzing watch time, retention, and engagement  and changing strategy weekly.

  • Create 6–8 videos a day and manage 3 social media accounts simultaneously.

  • Key responsibilities: Research topics, create and edit videos, upload to social media.

Creative & Technical Video Skills

  • Strong TikTok and Reels editing skills CapCut, Premiere Rush, or similar.

  • Experience with sound syncing, subtitles, memes, and storytelling pacing for retention.

  • Knows how to make native-feeling videos (not ad-like): jump cuts, text overlays, duets, stitches, trends, reaction formats, etc.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, effectively conveying project statuses, ideas, and solutions.


What We’re Looking For


  • 2+ years experience editing and producing videos for social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube) and researching, data analysis, experimenter mindset.

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with native-level Spanish speaking and writing skills required.

  • Video editor extraordinaire: Experience in editing videos and understands pacing, and can capture key moments. Technical mastery in editing tools.

  • Organized, project management pro: Capable of managing multiple projects and priorities while staying on time.

  • Full-cycle content creator: Experience creating content from start to finish, including research, scripting, editing, and publishing, particularly for Gen Z and Millennial audiences.

  • Content trendsetter: Highly motivated and creative, with a passion for fast-paced short form storytelling and enjoys learning about innovative content formats and trends.

  • Clear and collaborative communicator: Strong communication skills.

  • Deadline-driven and detail-focused: Skilled at prioritizing multiple projects, working in a fast-paced environment, meeting multiple deadlines and being detail-oriented.

  • Independent and adaptability: Comfortable working both independently and in collaboration with people from diverse backgrounds. 


Compensation


This is a 4-month freelance opportunity intended as a temporary role, with the possibility of becoming a full-time position based on performance and the achievement of established KPIs. The compensation range is $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience. The number of hours per week will vary, but we estimate roughly 40 hours per week.
